There can be up to 80 in a clan.
They stick together and help to hunt and defend their territory. When in flock, they can put down a zebra.
The hyenas have a wide muzzle and the jaws are incredibly strong. So they can easily break bones. This is also why a flock of hyenas can chase lions away from their prey.
